UFC 116 : Lesnar vs Carwin !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait for this fight card! Like him or hate him, everyone gets excited when Lesnar fights. I've been warming up to Lesnar & his charisma with the media while hyping this fight, but I definitely want to see Carwin knock his block off. This is the biggest heavyweight fight since Fedor vs Cro Cop (2005), & with Fedor tapping to Werdum last weekend, it will decide the true #1 Heavyweight.

Matchups:

UFC Heavyweight Championship
Brock Lesnar vs. Shane Carwin
- The first guy to land a big shot should win this fight & become the new #1 ranked Heavyweight. From watching the Gonzaga fight, I know Carwin has a solid chin & from what I've seen in Lesnar's rematch with Mir is that he really wants nothin to do with getting hit. My feeling is that Carwin hits harder. That man hits like a fuckin Mack truck and I think he can clinch Brock against the cage and hit him with some serious dirty boxing. Either way it goes, I doubt it gets out of the first round. Carwin by KO, rd 1.
Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Chris Leben - This will be a great fight. Leben has the striking and power to hurt Akiyama, but the Japanese fighter has a very sturdy chin and will more than likely get it to the floor where Leben has a lot of liabilities. Akiyama by submission, rd. 2.
Chris Lytle vs. Matt Brown - This should be a great battle with 'Fight of the Night' potential. Both are very similar but I'm leaning Lytle since he is (when he wants to be) the better technical striker and Brown has a bad gas tank when pushed. I see Lytle taking over when Brown starts to slow down, hurting him on the feet and possibly submitting. Lytle by submission, rd 3.
Stephan Bonnar vs. Krzysztof Soszynski - In the rematch that nobody wanted I'll take Krystof, only because Bonnar lost to Mark Coleman. Soszynski by decision.
George Sotiropoulos vs. Kurt Pellegrino - This is a great lightweight battle. Both fighters have stepped up their game lately and looked very good doing it. I feel this will be a very close technical fight with Sotiropolous edging out Pellegrino. While Kurt has the better wrestling, I feel like George has the better BJJ and striking game. Sotiropolous by decision.
Brendan Schaub vs. Chris Tuchscherer - Look for Brock Lesnar's training partner to get cut after Schaub puts a beating on him. Schaub by TKO, rd. 1. Ricardo Romero vs. Seth Petruzelli - Romero should put a beating on 'the Kimbo Killer', for a solid Octagon debut. I'll say Romero stops him with strikes, rd. 1.
Kendall Grove vs. Goran Reljic - Grove is the more skilled fighter but I can never pick a guy with such a paper mache chin. Reljic by TKO, rd 1.
Gerald Harris vs. Dave Branch - This is the most intriguing fight of the undercard, and I am really excited to see the prospect Branch's Octagon debut. I'm going with the favorite, Harris to get a TKO stoppage but I won't be surprised if Branch can tap him. Harris by TKO, rd. 2.
Daniel Roberts vs. Forrest Petz - Roberts by decision.
Jon Madsen vs. Karlos Vemola - Vemola by TKO, rd. 1.
